Hi Martin

Great Pods thank you

I do this I just slip into these helpless states, we're I feel stuck and then I make the wrong decisions, like a build up of frustration.

Your suggestions are helping, so frustrating though, thought it was out of my control but it isnt is it?

I never ever thought about how my relationships effect my trading.

I see it now though, some of the biggest losing days come off the back of stressful interactions with colleagues and loved ones

Hello all

Ah the dreaded meltdown day

"what happened, why did I take those trades, I must be possessed, who moi, wasnt me, ouch this hurts, I'm scared"

I think we overlook our personal relationships far too much, as they trigger so many reactions that are not self serving when engaged in market activity, as you suggest Martin

Any chance of a pod on gamblers fallacy or loss aversion

Cheers

Hi Guys
I was always taught to not go to these painful places (emotions)
I am though starting to get a better feel for why I react the way I do to market data.
is this conscious awareness stage Martin?

Hi jack
That is real progress...
Research is suggesting the next step, once we've weeded out these limiting but perfectly understandable patterns is to, deliberate without attention....brings a better outcome than conscious thought......This is why we suggest once the weeding is done, get away from your screen and desk..... go for a walk have a coffee...... let your unconscious run though the market data and offer you the answer

Hi Martin
Thanks, tried it yesterday, a lot of resistance to it and reverted back to my old style but I felt something happen in the moments I read my stream of feelings and thoughts, a consciousness of my emotional context, that I let surface and be with me as I traded, it felt like a gap of no past a gap of freedom, then I was overwhelmed by the anxiety again. The process has started though
Thank you
