S&P e minis couldn’t follow through and failed their 8 day ema again. Corn bounced strongly off its 21 day ema and now looks set to retest the highs at 425. Aussie Dollar looks on the brink of rolling over, we’ll keep a close eye on equities if they sell off they could take the Aussie with them. Have a good weekend everyone.

Ten Year Notes are nearing 2009 highs, the last time they traded at this level was during the peak of the sub-prime mortgage panic! I find this very interesting what are investors trying to tell us? They are nervous and risk adverse at present. Our profit target for Crude was hit, we are moving our stop down to entry level.
Death of a traders ego
In this week’s podcast I share my personal story of trading pain and losses. 15 years ago after blowing my 2nd trading account I experienced one the most uplifting and painful days of my life, it was the day my ego died. We missed a fill yesterday for EURUSD, we’ll keep our offer working today at 1.2750 ish as the 8 day exponential moving average is moving down to this level. We’ll keep a close eye on the US Dollar index it needs to hold above its 50 day ema if EURUSD is going to continue its move lower. We’ll also be monitoring interest rate differentials.

Summer doldrums are in full effective, however we had a text book fill for our short Crude play yesterday and are looking to take some profits. EURUSD continues to break down, we’ll keep our offer working at 1.2750 ish and we’ll keep an eye on interest rate differentials and the US Dollar index.
